We keep data collection to the minimum needed to answer your enquiry. This page explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.

Who we are

Mini Digger Hire (mini-digger-hire.co.uk) is a UK mini digger hire enquiry service. For anything in this policy, contact us at enquiries@mini-digger-hire.co.uk.

What we collect and why

When you send the quote form, we collect the details you enter — your name, email, postcode or area, preferred digger size and a description of the job. We use them for one purpose: to respond to your enquiry with availability and a price, and to arrange the hire if you go ahead. The lawful basis is legitimate interest in answering an enquiry you chose to send.

Additionally, enquiries are stored securely in our database and emailed to our team so we can reply. We keep enquiry records for up to 24 months, then delete them. Above all, we never sell your data.

Cookies and analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the site. Analytics cookies are off by default — we use Google Consent Mode v2, and analytics storage only activates if you press "Accept" on the cookie banner. If you decline, no analytics cookies are set. Advertising storage is always denied; we don't run advertising cookies at all.

However, you can change your mind any time by clearing this site's cookies in your browser — as a result, the banner will ask again on your next visit.

Who your data is shared with

  • Hire partners — the job details you send may be passed to the supplier who fulfils your hire, so they can deliver the machine and complete the booking.
  • Service providers — we use Cloudflare (hosting and database), Resend (email delivery) and Google (analytics, only with your consent). Each processes data on our instructions.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask for a copy of the data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. For example, simply email enquiries@mini-digger-hire.co.uk and we'll act within one month. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the ICO at ico.org.uk.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle data, we'll update this page and the date at the top. Meanwhile, questions? Contact us any time.
